FrankenMech 9 - "MPMV" by Blazbaros FrankenMech 9 - "MPMV" by Blazbaros
For *Mecha-Master's FrankenMech Contest. Rules and Jazz >>> [link] <<<

-3- As you can see I'm trying to make one a day, so this is a make up for yesterdays. I should probably stop soon XD out of all of them so far, this one is my favourite.

MPMV are the hearts of any colony, for their versatility and capabilities are unrivaled. The can be used as cargo carriers, civilian transports and even construction vehicles or mobile factories. They've also found their way into the military as armoured transports, command centers and mobile hospitals. The modification pods (or modpod) at the rear can be outfitted with devices or removed to allow larger containers, facilities, generators and so on. Above is the standard loadout for a civilian-type MPMV with all of the original modpods still in place.

Loadout:

Right Arm:
Heavy Magnetic Manipulator

Torso:
Light AA Turret

Left Arm:
Heavy Magnetic Manipulator

Tools: CS3

Neat! I must ask, though, must every other thing be 'heavy'?

Many of the entries for this contest seem to be equipped with 'heavy' this and 'heavy' that. I begin to wonder if mechs are capable of being equipped with anything normal sized.

Well, I still like the design. (But hey who says there can't be mini/smaller ones? Like a big truck vs a RC truck?) Also will any of these have wheels? Thay all seem to be walkers or the two that have tracks.

 there's no wheel parts to choose from, so I'd have to draw my own

Aww well....Wait a minute!

Between the world wars there was a light all purpose tank developed that could quickly switch back and forth between tracks or driving on its wheels, and it was super fast at the time, going nearly 60mph. Of course the brilliant top brass at the time, said it was useless and unneeded for the then modern warfare. So no one baught any of these tanks (I forget its name).

But maybe you could get creative and do something adaptable like that tank? Make something that can do tracks/legs/wheel combo...just a thought....damn now I feel like drawing mechs....

Oh, you're thinking a tank designed by Christie. With its 'road wheels' it was supposed to hit 50-60 mph on a road.

Ooh, very nice use of parts to create a really creative design. Naturally, since you've caught up in entry-count, this means war. Be back in half an hour or so with something that'll hopefully top this thing.

Seriously, though, absolutely wonderful work on the body of the thing.

Yeah, to be honest, I just discovered the perspective tool in Gimp about twenty minutes ago. Very helpful, wish I'd found it sooner.
