The Klurrrg by Blazbaros The Klurrrg by Blazbaros
Hailing from the poorly-researched planet Krr-Lrr, the Klurrrg are a gigantic, enormously strong race of herbivorous semi-arthropoids despised all across the galaxy for their barbaric and destructive ways. While it is known that females lead civilized, peaceful lives in their homeworld, the aggressive, hormone-ridden males roam through space in nomadic “clans” committing increasingly brutal acts of piracy on lone ships and far flung colonies. Boisterous and egocentric, they believe themselves to be superior to most races they meet and strip away everything of possible value, leaving ruin and shaken civilians behind them. Their ships are constantly customized and re-arranged with every new looting, so no fleets ever look identical, and in many cases only the presence of tribal markings painted on the hull ever unifies or identifies them as Klurrrg ships to begin with.

Their natural savagery only increases during their breeding season, for female Klurrrg are highly attracted to strong, healthy and violent mates, and as such the males engage in “ritual combat” for the right of siring the harems, more often than not ending in gruesome injuries and/or death. Those males that wish to settle into a job or take part of proper society have to be castrated or chemically altered, which leaves the breeding population stronger and wilder every generation....a vicious cycle that does not get the other races to warm up to them any sooner.

The “armoured” look of the Klurrrg lends itself to a symbiotic kind of mollusc they frequently use as an environmental suit off-world. Their true skin is dry and bumpy, often likened to that of the Earth animal known as walrus. Other physical oddities include several jaw-derived “arms” for manipulation of delicate items, an inflatable throat for long-distance communication, and two large “throat nostrils” responsible for the Klurrrg’s characteristic stereo voice.

This was the combined effort of ~Gorger and myself for the #LegacyVerse

Fun Fact: The Klurrrg do not name their children at birth, since they have not accomplished anything worthy of a name. Males receive a name after surviving their first looting ritual or something violent in nature in which they were successful. Females on the other hand, receive a name after providing worthwhile to the community.

The best way to beat a Klurrrg is to attack its weak point, for massive damage =3

They look pretty menacing. Certainly not something I'd ever want to run into.

Their pastime is face-crunching and limb-tearing.

So that would be a good idea o-o

This is a vast improvement from the last iteration of this! The limbs look very much more flexible and natural. The extra colors, shading and details very much aid in this re-design of this intriguing race of aliens. The story/description of this alien race is a nice read, but lacks some sort of substance. I'm not exactly sure what it is, but I find that their is something that needs to be added/made for this. Well, besides that, this was an excellent job by the two of you -o-

Thanks :3

There wasn't really much else that was needed to be said about them, they're really just a minor race in the Legacyverse.

Me: So, giant space pirates huh?

Jimmy: I hate pirates

Me: anyway, it's a very intimidating drawing Blaz, I don't want to be anywhere near those guys without a bazooka or something like that in my hands. Well done
