U'rth: Tengu

Tall, humanoid avians from the eastern lands, tengu lack the capacity for flight unlike their harpy and garuda kin, but make up for this disadvantage by retaining sharp senses and, most noteworthy, their incredible speed, which few races in U’rth can rival. Their reclusive nature has resulted in much of their customs being largely unknown, but from what has been gathered they form surprisingly large family units, and from an early age they trained to achieve skill with the sword, regardless of gender

Though never openly conflictive, tengu are somewhat infamous for the condescending manner they treat other races, and for being surprisingly spiteful, holding year-long grudges for even the most trivial slights.
