Xasheen Collossal Shipyard by Blazbaros Xasheen Collossal Shipyard by Blazbaros
The grandest ship of the Xasheen fleet.

I don't have too many specs on it just yet, but its around 20 km long and its mostly used as a mobile shipyard and merchant marine headquarters. During battle, its a formidable fortress, its most devastating weapon located between the bow prongs of the ship.

They're used in the Xasheen's home system and in major trading junctions in their little empire. There's about four in total.

That's all for now ^^; I'm 100% supporting the design template for future Xasheen ships, swoopy and golden :3

This is also the first time I've made a rather interesting looking piece of space art. You'd think that planet is a stock image right? WRONG. I made that. I totally made that. It was HARD making that >.< sorta. . .but yeah, I'm frickin' proud of that.

Critiques are welcome. I know those ships don't really "belong" in the picture, everything else is too realistic looking.

EDIT: Added a texture to the hull and more armour seams and the two other ships in the back.

Those look a bunch like the Banu Merchantman ship concept art from Star Citizen, of course it looks like this came before that

reminds me of the Amarr ships from EVE-Online. which are also curvy and golden.

but with only four of them I can imagine they are not only very capable of battle themselves but also always well guarded by a main fleet much like people do with Titans in EVE or like the USN does with carriers in reality. I could them having something like a "Carrier Battle Group" during a time of war that centers around ships like these.

I wish I could draw. well to be more precise I wish I could get my hands to do what my brain is seeing.

[link] is where you can see the Amarr ships to see why I am reminded of those.

Actually they're quite capable (even if they can't fire their super-weapon), they're like a faster "battle station".

[link] I've actually updated them since then

I have to put this in here...

The Enlightened

◦Devastator-class ship
◦22.83 kilometers in length.
◦Hull able to withstand a FOOKING SUPERNOVA with NO SHIELDS at point-blank range without suffering even 0.1% damage...
◦Shielding system able to deflect/withstand ALL forms of radiation/energy weapons, including the type used by the [Halo] rings.
◦Shielding system also able to deflect/withstand massive amounts of projectile weapons.
◦Powered by 30 Ancient Zero-point modules, also runs off subspace...
◦no planet killing weapons, however. [too OP and takes all the fun out of fights]
◦over a trillion Ancient Drone Weapons...
◦several thousands of railgun emplacements all over the ship...
◦...along with several thousands of directed energy weapons...
◦...4 Super MAC guns...
◦...2 Energy Projectors...
◦...over 500 plasma turrets, the kind that can gut a UNSC dreadnought in one shot...
◦several million spacefighters, made of the same material as the ship's hull...
◦...and has the same shielding as well...
◦...spacefighter shielding is only activated in case of emergencies...
◦It can produce it's own ZPM's, so no worry of running out of power...

Defense Personified.

20km long? Holy crap, those are big arse ships. You gave them a very distinctive look. The golden armor looks neat and the glowing red sections on those ships just scream "don't mess with me if you know what's good for you."

For a hand drawn world, that's pretty damned impressive. It looks like a 3D rendering. You should consider doing space drawings like this more often - you're very good at it.

Dang it, now I have to copy the blue-prints, gather the parts to build one, find a place to build it in peace, and find some enginers to build it.....I wonder if Anna is willing to take a long term contract.....

I like the design for these; if you do closer views, are they going to be solid, or like a Borg cube with golden plates anchored on the exterior?

Sehooligan had a good point about guns; if the golden plating is a shell and the main gun is under it, then it can rotate 360 degrees! Plus I love transforming things.

As a comment, the red color of the lighting seems to stand out a bit from the gold; have you tried other colors? Depending how hard you want your science to be, the colors can be appropriate to either their suns homeworld or to the light spectrum they see (I'm picturing the gold with blacklight style purple)

I was just thinking about the red lighting of the interior and the gold plating of the exterior. Was curious if you'd tried different colors before settling on red

Why is the super weapon ALWAYS between two prongs. The enemy ships (if any) would quickly move out of the way and destroy it before it charges back up... on the other hand, how else would a ship shot a super weapon?

nice pic, Blaz. If I had to say anything, I'd say the perspective does make it a little difficult to tell there true size. Apart from that though the pic is great, especially the planet.

not that...hit their main gun as it's getting ready to fire, the feedback and secondary explosions would tear the ship a new one...unless the ship has massive redundacies built into it (Like a [i]Devastator[/i]-class vessel)
