Lavos Core

Description

I have watched your world grow
from beneath its soil.
I guided you, taught you,
molded you into what you are.
You were destined to be mere
materials for what was to come next.
My children were to spread out
across the stars finding worlds
like your own so that we may
continue to grow and evolve.
Now that you are ripe for reaping,
you dare resist me?!
I AM YOUR CREATOR!!

====================

So here's a thought, if Lavos came to their planet to eat its insides, grow and then destroy everyone to create spawn, where the HELL did it come from? Are there more Lavos-like creatures out in space? Or is it the only one?  Why did it bother affecting how humans evolved afterward, was it waiting for them to reach a point where their genetic material was. . . tastier? Also where did it go after it blasted out of the ground? You don't see the crater it it came out of, did it blast off into space? How does its progeny leave the planet? D:

So many questions.

Despite being not being an especially deep villain, Lavos sure is quite the enigma, which makes it cool in its own way.  I was surprised there's not a whole lot of fanart out there, the sprite is kinda vague on the details, so its fun to create what you think the Core might have looked like.

I had wondered if he was jut one of many Lavos Spawn that were spread throughout the universe, but I personally think he was more of a creation made by technologically advanced beings. Perhaps made for a certain purpose, much like Cell from Dragon Ball Z, and his design is based on Cell. Lavos' 2nd form looks like Imperfect Cell, both of them have the dna of other various creatures and can copy other people's moves and both can produce spawn.

Maybe he was created by a mad scientist who wanted to create the perfect being. Like Zeal, perhaps it would be worshiped. Perhaps the beings who made it wanted to go from world to world, draining it, absorbing dna from other creatures, become god-like and repeat the process, which reminds me of Buu, where Bibidi would go from planet to planet, have them wiped out and so forth. Maybe the creator was destroyed due to not being able to control Lavos, much like how Babidi had difficulty controlling Buu.

I had thought that if there were hundreds or thousands of Lavos Spawn across the universe, you'd think that maybe, like Gaspar or someone would have noticed a bunch of god-like creatures possibly causing havoc across the universe and all of space time. I mean, Lavos merged with Schala and become the Time Devourer. Even without the merge, Lavos was kind of god-like and was barely defeated.
