PAYLOAD: Phoenix

    Originally designed by CorTek for its internal security division, the Phoenix is an angular, vaguely avian ACE that emphasizes speed. As might be expected from CorTek, its powerplant features cutting-edge protection and venting protocols. Combined with integral high-efficiency jump jets, the Phoenix can dart about the battlefield with impunity while keeping power to spare for energy weapons.

    The Phoenix has done fairly well on the export market, though its high price for its size does turn some customers away. As with other advanced minor corp ACEs such as the Jupiter or Dusk Eagle, it is often seen as a specialist ACE outside of CorTek service, though they are increasingly using it in a frontline role. Though it can be fiddly and maintenance-intensive, its speed and mobility make it an ideal scout and flanker, acting in support of a core of more traditional ACEs.
