U'rth: Longma

Extremely rare to the point of almost mythical, the Longma or “dragon horse” is a powerful breed of mutant beast said to prowl the most inhospitable and magically tainted lands in U’rth. Despite its awe-inspiring and almost noble looks, it is as wild and ferocious as the reviled unicorns, generating massive amounts of heat from within its body to roast living prey by proximity or launch jets of raging flame from the mouth or nostrils

A Longma’s thick hide feels like solid iron, and has the strange drive to let out a crackling, deafening whinny at the sight of the sun at its highest. As they are so uncommon and dangerous to come by, reproductive habits as well as much of their biology are thus far unknown.
